Rise Impact Report 2024/25

Raising aspirations and empowering futures
Our latest Impact Report for the 2024/25 academic year shows our growing role in bridging the gap between education and the professional world. Championed by ICAEW, Rise has continued to build essential skills for underserved students, including those in rural and coastal communities, while expanding both our suite of resources and workshops to 11-14 year olds.
A Year of Exceeded Ambitions
We achieved our goals across all areas of the initiative.
• Workshops & Reach: Rise, supported by The Talent Foundry, exceeded its target of delivering 300 workshops across the UK, reaching nearly 18,000 students. The programme continued to focus on supporting underserved areas, with nearly 30% of workshops taking place in rural and/or coastal locations.
• Students: Well over half of students who attended the workshops reported increased confidence across all eight essential skills like creativity, staying positive and leadership.
• Volunteers: Volunteer engagement saw significant growth with nearly two volunteers attending each workshop on average. Crucially, the number of workshops delivered without a volunteer plummeted by 89%.
• Resources: More than 2,500 teachers downloaded our classroom resources, helping link subjects like Maths and English to professional roles and essential skills.
This report showcases an impactful year for Rise, delivering clear, measurable outcomes that benefit students, teachers and partner organisations alike.

By volunteering with Rise, professionals across the country are helping to move the dial, opening students’ eyes to the variety of careers available, and helping them to build the skills necessary to pursue them.
